Nagisa Aizawa (藍澤 渚, Aizawa Nagisa) is one of the main characters of the Jitsu wa Watashi wa series.

Nagisa's full body
Nagisa is actually a tiny alien, the human-sized body is a bio machine shell (External Unit) being operated by her to blend in with Earth society. Her real self looks exactly like the machine with blue shoulder-length hair and green eyes but way smaller with an antenna on the head (angler fish's lantern lookalike) while the External Unit has a large bolt behind the cranium.
Personality[]
She always follows military or school's protocol so classmates gave her the nickname "Iron Lady". However, she is still a lovely girl and acts as a normal high school student.
Smart and trustable, sometimes her homeworld intelligence doesn't really apply to Earth so things become awkward which makes her social skill relatively low at first.

Background[]
The second child of the alien General's family. She was sent to Earth for infiltration, studying human behaviors and culture (specifically Japanese lifestyle) in an effort to achieve social integration between the two species when the time is right.
Plot[]
Started with her first infiltration mission, she ended up making a lot of friends. Her dream is to become the bridge between her race and Earthlings. After encountering her future self, who failed the dream and ended up invading Earth, she refuses to give up and tries to fix that.

Asahi Kuromine[]
Down right refused his love confession in the first year of senior high, throughout the series, her secret of being an alien is exposed and he tries to keep it hidden for her. Later on she develops big crush for him. After being turned down, she keeps admiring him and determined to help in the relationship between him and Youko while still refuses to let her crush fade away and keep it as a motivation.
Youko Shiragami[]
Best friends and one the few who knows her secret as being an alien. Helps setting up dates for Asahi and Aizawa even though it was actually Youko that Kuromine is after, things don't go so well since her dense nature keeps ruining them.

Etymology[]
- The name Nagisa means "beach, shore, water's edge" (渚).
- Nagisa's surname Aizawa means "indigo" (藍) (ai) and "marsh" (澤) (sawa/zawa).
